Black Women's Bodies

Ona Judge fled President Washington’s Philadelphia home in 1790, for freedom. Washington rotated slaves between Virginia and Pennsylvania every 6 months to preserve their status as property. Female slaves were raped, mutilated, murdered. Their breast milk and babies were sold. Roe vs. Wade ceded African American women control over their bodies.
